" How's Life? "

How are you doing?
How is it going?
How are things?
How's everything?
How's life?

How do you answer these questions?

Terrible?
Sh-- happens?
Life sucks?

Or maybe:
Not bad?
So so?
Life's ... OK?

Or:
Excellent?
Never better?
Life's grand?

Now,
Which one is your choice?
And why?

How do you decide whether you are having hell of a time or a time in hell?
What are the meters according to which you measure the quality of your life?

Money?
Job?
Family?
Knowledge?
Power?
Fame?
Popularity?
Or... what?

You could have any ( or all ) of these and still have a miserable life.
Take a careful look at the people around you and you'll see what I mean.

So, what is it then?
What is it all about?

I'd say it's all about:
Happiness,
Peace,
& Hope

They are the goals we all pursue ( consciously or unconsciously ) through our daily routines.
But sometimes ( or sadly, most of the times ) we forget all about them.
And this is the cause to all the stress, anxiety, depression, misery and dissatisfaction we suffer everyday.

So, next time you want to make a choice, ( about anything ) see whether it gives you any of these in return.

Every choice has its price.
See if it's really worth it.

As a kid i was always thinking and worried of what i would become when i grow up. I heard from the olders that going to college and then getting a good job will make your life happy and secured. As time passed by and i was gaining more knowlege i realized that our existance in this universe is as if we are appointed to turn a big wheel- a huge wheel. The fact is no matter who you are and what you do for living you are part of that energy that turns the wheel on; a wheel that is being turned on a path starts the day this universe created and finishes till the doom day. After all this wheel is set for a goal and that goal is the fact that why we've been here,in this world, in the first place; and then where are we going after this life! And just as the great man once said " ze koja amade'am -- amadanam bahreh che bood------ be koja miravam-- akhar nanamaayee vatanam".
I believe happiness, peace and hope are IN FACT the three big factors that we should keep in mind while taking the path. Happiness for the time that we are spending in this world and enjoying our time. Peace, to make sure that the rest of the people that are part of that push for the big wheel are happy as well; and finally Hope for reaching the ultimate goal.
I know, all these that i mentioned above might sound a little wiered at first but thats just my gut feeling.
P.S. Ali jan, I really admire you on creating such a nice site.I wish i could check it more often
